Highly coupled dielectric behavior of porous ceramics embedding a polymer
We present a theoretical approach to study the dielectric properties of porous ceramics and composite materials and explain the experimentally observed notable influence of the coupling between the components of a saturated porous ceramic on the final behavior of the sample. This model is based on the assumption of a dielectric coupling between the components that modifies the expected averaged...
متن کاملSolid lithium electrolytes based on an organic molecular porous solid.
A new type of solid lithium-ion conducting electrolytes prepared by incorporation of Li(+) ions into a cucurbit[6]uril (CB[6])-based organic molecular porous solid shows high Li(+) ion conductivity (∼10(-4) S cm(-1)) and mobility (transference numbers, tLi(+) = 0.7-0.8). In addition, the solid electrolytes show excellent, thermally stable performance even after several temperature cycles.

Background: Nowadays, the reduction of incidents, their effects and their consequences have become one of the priorities of organizations. Despite all the efforts made in various sectors to reduce events, every year, there are many events that threaten industrial societies. In order to mitigate the effects of these incidents, prediction and planning are critical to dealing with them. Therefore,...
متن کاملCalcium Orthophosphate-Based Bioceramics
Various types of grafts have been traditionally used to restore damaged bones. In the late 1960s, a strong interest was raised in studying ceramics as potential bone grafts due to their biomechanical properties. A bit later, such synthetic biomaterials were called bioceramics. In principle, bioceramics can be prepared from diverse materials but this review is limited to calcium orthophosphate-b...
متن کاملHigh-pressure electroosmotic pumps based on porous polymer monoliths
Electroosmotic pumps have been prepared using macroporous polymer monoliths with their pore surface grafted with the ionizable monomers 2-acrylamido-2-methyl-1-propanesulfonic acid and [2-(methacryloyloxy)ethyl]trimethyl ammonium chloride, respectively. The effects of critical parameters such as pore size of the monolith, percentage of ionizable moieties in the grafted layer, crosslinking densi...
